Lara Zuberi was brought up in Pakistan and now resides in the USA with her loving family and practices as a medical oncologist at MD Anderson, Jacksonville, Florida. Royalties from her published work go to institutions providing free education, and serving orphans, cancer patients, and those with special needs.
