GLIMPSES INTO THE POETRY OF GREAT PERSIAN POETS.

This is the first book in a new series,
Glimpses into the Poetry of Great Persian Poets.

It begins with Saadi of Shiraz, Ustad-e Sukhan, Master of Speech, arguably the greatest Persian poet alongside Rumi, Hafiz, and Omar Khayyam. His Bostan and Gulistan have been admired by Goethe, Voltaire, and Emerson, and their influence continues into the modern era, from Barack Obama to the United Nations. Some critics rank them among the 100 best books ever written.

While many translations of Saadi exist, this edition offers something different: the original Persian verses, clear transliteration, and a simple, careful, and musical English rendering.
